Close
The Close is an action that is usually found at the end of several typical Waltz figures. This action’s function is principally that of changing the weight from one foot to the other. This is achieved through an adduction of the legs with the consequent closing of the feet.
With a sole exception in Tango where the feet are half-closed, the closing of the feet in all the other dances must be accomplished with the Toes of both feet in contact with each other. This element is considered to be of fundamental importance when evaluating the technique of execution.
