THE FUTURE

All art must develop to survive and I am sure that Standard Ballroom Dancing will develop in the future. However we must ensure the fundamental principles of a couple moving together in light contact and with musical character, continue to endure.
すべての芸術は発展しなければ生き残れないので、スタンダード・ボールルーム・ダンスも将来的に発展していくでしょう。しかし、軽いコンタクトで音楽的なキャラクターを持ち、カップルが一緒に動くという基本原則は、今後も存続させなければなりません。

Fashion so often comes full circle, however there are always differences. The same applies to Dance. Figures and movements, which may have dropped out of fashion, can return, however the “look” will always be different.
ファッションは往々にして一周するものですが、そこには必ず違いがあります。ダンスも同じです。一度は流行遅れになったフィガーやムーブメントが復活することはありますが、「見た目」は常に異なります。

I look forward to enjoying the beautiful spectacle of our form of dance for many years to come. Hopefully with much improved Floorcraft and the continued development of rhythmic movement.
